What does a typical day in the life of an Art Director look like?
My days are super varied and I work on several different projects at a time.
One minute I could be working with designers to bring a vision to life, with copywriters on a creative concept or with our video production team.
Sometimes I feel like I’m lucky in a giraffe-like way, because I have a fantastic overview on all the cool stuff people create.

What’s been your most memorable moment at Edelman so far?
Can I have two? They’ve got to be seeing the first TV commercial I’d ever worked on on the television and my first day almost four and a half years ago. I remember walking into the office on the eleventh floor and feeling like a complete grown up!
What’s your favourite part of a working day?
I like the morning as that is when I have the most energy for creating ideas – it’s also great to connect with the creative team on our daily morning call! I get a huge buzz out of seeing the stuff we create - It feels cool to create something cool!
How do you stay motivated?
I get lots of inspiration from the people at Edelman, our team is fun and the work is varied and there’s always lots to do. I also get lots of autonomy and freedom and I love that.
What’s your top tip for working from home?
Plan your breaks and walk a lot! I go for walks every morning afternoon and evening and I’m quite addicted to it. I don’t even need to listen to podcasts each time as I often want to hear the sounds around me – whether its birds singing or people yelling at each other in the street!
Did anything surprise you when you joined Edelman?
The sheer quality and scale of the work: we make amazing stuff for clients across the b2b and b2c spaces year-round!
Finally, how do you see your career path developing in the future?
Communicating well in my art director role and playing a role in inspiring the new and existing talent in our buzzing creative team.
